Pro.Fit International Vehicle Specific Mounting Brackets or VSM's, are designed to attach behind the dash trim, providing a clean and professional installation. Most attach to existing hardware that is hidden behind the trim. At times we strengthen the installation by adding hardware. The VSM's are mounted in positions that are safe locations and are rarely visible when properly installed.

    We can not guarantee the development of a VSM for every vehicle. There is an extensive list of criteria that must be met prior to producing a vehicle specific mounting bracket.

    Most VSM mounting brackets are designed to fit in one location. There are ocassions when this rule does ot apply. These are usually called out in the installation instructions. We do know that installers will take liberty and modify a bracket in order to make it work. Any modifications or installation in a place other than where we recommend may void the warranty.

     Most installations require that trim bezel be removed from the dash in order access hidden hardware. We recommend using a     Dash Trim Removal Tool or Hook Tool to remove bezels. A special tool may be necessary to protect the vehicle's dash from     scratches and punctures that can occur if using a household tool like a screwdriver.

    If you are installing your device on a standard VSM we recommend using an Easy Swivel with a standard VSM.
    The Easy Swivel is a swivel designed to provide extra adjustability. It allows you to adjust the electronics 30° in any direction while     extending it away from the dash approximately 1 inch. The Easy Swivel operates on the same principle as your rear view mirror,     allowing easy viewing from anywhere in the front seat. It also moves these larger device away from your dash providing extra room     for a final adjustment.
