Pro.Fit International Vehicle Specific Mounting Brackets or VSM's, are designed to attach behind the dash trim, providing a clean and professional installation. Most attach to existing hardware that is hidden behind the trim. At times we strengthen the installation by adding hardware. This is positioned in a safe location and should never be visible when properly installed. Substituting hardware may cause unforeseen damage and is not recommended.

Every VSM G3 includes: Mounting Bracket A Plate (AMPS hole pattern) J Stem (Extension)

Most installations require that trim bezel be removed from the dash in order access hidden hardware. We recommend using a Dash Trim Removal Tool or Hook Tool to remove bezels. A special tool is necessary to protect the vehicle's dash from scratches and punctures that can occur by using a household tool like a screwdriver.

Also, many vehicles require special tools to safely remove the radio. Currently these include: Audi, Ford, Mazda, Mercedes and Mercury. The product description for the part you order will let you know if a radio removal tool is required.

The VSM G3 includes two components that attach to the ball on the bracket. An A Plate and a J Stem,These each have a tight fit and require some hand strength to apply.

If you are installing your device on a standard VSM we recommend using an Easy Swivel with a standard VSM.
The Easy Swivel is a swivel designed to provide extra adjustability. It allows you to adjust the electronics 30° in any direction while extending it away from the dash approximately 1 inch. The Easy Swivel operates on the same principle as your rear view mirror, allowing easy viewing from anywhere in the front seat. It also moves these larger device away from your dash providing extra room for a final adjustment.
