The T-AMPS Adapter plate will now be included as part of the standard bill of materials with the WindowMate. With the recent release of new XM radios namely the Pioneer Inno and the Samsung Helix, this plate will be needed in many more applications. The XM in-the-box swivel does not have the AMPS hole pattern and can be attached with the 2 existing holes only at a 45-degree angle or with the attached adhesive. The Roady XT and the Audiovox Xpress (XM Radios) also come with the same in-the-box swivel. It will result in mounting a swivel on top of a swivel, which is not recommended or necessary.

The above-mentioned XM radios use the T-Slot/keyhole on the back of their car kit. In order to mount these car kits to our VSM or VSM Legend mounting brackets, we recommend using our T-AMPS adapter plate that has the male end of the T-Slot and the AMPS hole pattern. This plate will bolt directly to our mounting solutions or WindowMate allowing you to mount the car kit using the T-AMPS plate. This will make for a low profile, clean, and professional installation. The (in-the-box) swivel mount will not be used. Most XM car kits come with the T-slot keyhole for mounting, so the T-AMPS plate will work with them also.

Subject: T-Slot Adapter Plate for DELPHI Roady XT

The new DELPHI Roady XT and the Audiovox Xpress (XM Radios) are not designed with the standard AMPS hole pattern. Unlike the SKYFi, MYFi and earlier version Roady's, the Roady XT and Xpress include a swivel mount which will bolt to an AMPS pattern, but only at a 45-degree angle. It is our opinion that this mounting configuration will make the installation to our VSM or VSM Legend look incorrect and or unappealing.

The DELPHI Roady XT and the Audiovox Xpress use a T-Slot keyhole on the back of their car kit. In order to mount these car kits to our VSM or VSM Legend mounting brackets, we recommend using our adapter plate that has the male end of the T-Slot and the AMPS hole pattern. This Adapter Plate will bolt directly to our mounting brackets and allow you to attach the car kit with the T-Slot. This will make for a clean professional installation. The factory supplied swivel mount will not be used.
