Notice the size and how clean and unobtrusive the bracket becomes. At this point, the ball is exposed and ready for the Lock Plate. Also, the ball will directly accept any Garmin Nuvi GPS unit.

Photo 3:
This image shows the completed VSM-G3 installation with the Lock Plate. This plate has the AMPS hole pattern which accepts nearly any phone cradle, holder or cell phone booster. The Lock Plate has a twist to tighten collar on the back to 'lock' into whatever position you want. The Lock Plate and whatever is attached to it can easily be removed by loosening the collar and pulling off the ball.

This image shows the completed VSM-G3 installation with the Lock Plate and adapter which is required for attaching the miniGRIP (Included with purchase of miniGRIP). The body of the miniGRIP is placed onto the adapter and snaps up or down onto the 4 tabs to lock into position.
